I turned my update bubble machine off months ago, since everyone of them wants me desperately to upgrade from 7 to 10. Not a freaking chance. they even try to slide it under the door, the coy devils, making it a check OFF rather than an check IN.

They DID try to install it without my permission several times, with disastrous results. The end of the “free update period” is just five days away (7/27) … Hopefully that’ll put an end to this mess.

I think there must be something going on with the MS updates — mine is weird today, too, and I think a couple of servers I feed into are also doing odd things. Good luck!

I backed mine out to the previous state. I think there was a bad one in there. I’ve got some very sensitive graphics software and hardware in this computer and whatever got downloaded, this computer really didn’t like it one bit. It seems to be okay now, but a lot of things have been funky lately including Google.
