That’s a good theme. I like to watch the photos of doors that some bloggers post regularly. You too. But stairs are as fascinating. Great shots. That was a good idea to take a picture of Garry seated on the stoop.

Thanks. Honestly, we were waiting for the dentist’s office to open. I had a camera. There wasn’t much else to shoot. Less brilliance on my part than a pretty limited selection of “stuff” 🙂

Wow! I didn’t realize your house had so many stairs! My knees hurt just contemplating it!!

I get tired thinking about dealing with them. But I do what I have to and try not to complain too much. It’s where we live and where we will stay because we can’t afford to move. Those stairs definitely affect how often I go out, though. Sometimes, I just can’t. My best friend was visiting last week … and SHE wouldn’t go up or down unless she had not choice. I thought maybe it was just me, but apparently not. I would love this house a lot more if it were FLAT.

I like that “39 Steps” (chuckle) but I think it was Orson Welles not Bonnie and Gibbs.

I know, Marilyn but don’t you think that Bonnie and Gibbs would work? They couldn’t replace Orson Welles but they would keep him on his toes ??

You should see me (not) running up and down those same stairs. I do them SLOWLY. And carefully. Oh for a flatter house!

Love those fire escape shots, reminds me of my visit to New York.

Although those are Boston fire escapes. they are more common in New York. Here, you are more likely to see wooden outside stairs to upper floors. I can’t imagine using those stairs in the winter. It’s worth your life in the ice and snow.
