    1. Although those are Boston fire escapes. they are more common in New York. Here, you are more likely to see wooden outside stairs to upper floors. I can’t imagine using those stairs in the winter. It’s worth your life in the ice and snow.

      1. I know, Marilyn but don’t you think that Bonnie and Gibbs would work? They couldn’t replace Orson Welles but they would keep him on his toes ??

    1. I get tired thinking about dealing with them. But I do what I have to and try not to complain too much. It’s where we live and where we will stay because we can’t afford to move. Those stairs definitely affect how often I go out, though. Sometimes, I just can’t. My best friend was visiting last week … and SHE wouldn’t go up or down unless she had not choice. I thought maybe it was just me, but apparently not. I would love this house a lot more if it were FLAT.

  1. That’s a good theme. I like to watch the photos of doors that some bloggers post regularly. You too. But stairs are as fascinating. Great shots. That was a good idea to take a picture of Garry seated on the stoop.

    1. Thanks. Honestly, we were waiting for the dentist’s office to open. I had a camera. There wasn’t much else to shoot. Less brilliance on my part than a pretty limited selection of “stuff” πŸ™‚
