A Photo a Week Challenge: Waterfront
Walking along the water front — any waterfront — is one of our favorite vacation and travel activities. So much of traveling takes one from one great body of water to another. Here are some favorites from across the years …

Each and every waterfront is unique, although they have similar components. They are also a big part of my summer’s small pleasures. Great pics, as always.

Some lovely photos. The first on the left I find wonderfully romantic, with that great effect of light. Of course you and Gary are great together, a lovely photo.

That’s the reflected light of a sunrise on the houses along the dock. That was an epic sunrise. Best one ever, at least for me. And yes, I think Garry and I are well matched 🙂

Indeed they do. My favorite time — not surprising — are dawn and twilight. Something about the silhouettes of the ships 🙂

Those are my favorite times of the day, especially dusk. I am sure the ships are magical then.

Love the picture of you and Garry on the waterfront. You two always look so good together, like two peas in a pod! 🙂

I LOVE Marilyn but I hate peas.

Why do you hate peas, Garry?

It’s a thing. He hates peas, lima beans, cut corn, and oatmeal. On the other hand, he LIKES corn on the cob and will readily admit that it doesn’t make sense. Also, when he told his sergeant in Marine boot camp that his mother never made him eat peas, it didn’t go well.

Do they make you eat your peas in the Marines?

Apparently they did. And they made him clean the latrine with a toothbrush for talking back. Those guys are really STRICT. I offered to let him relive that happy experience, but for inexplicable reasons, Garry declined my kind offer.

FBL (full belly laugh) oh Marilyn, I can see why he declined your offer.

I guess his sentimentality only goes so far.

They didn’t make THIS Marine eat peas! Didn’t have to eat crow either. But I was a KP regular at Parris Island. Attitude adjustment, they called it.
