PHOTOS AND A STORY – GARRY ARMSTRONG

There’s a story here. Maybe more than one, but it’s  yours to tell. Consider the possibilities.

A football, simply lying on the grass. No one nearby, no one claiming it.

And … who is this woman? Is she connected to that ball? Or a casual passerby?

Perhaps it was simply a beautiful autumn day in the park. Coincidence? Or something else?

As a reporter for Channel 7 in Boston for 31 years, I was witness to most of the major events affecting the region. I met a lot of people ... politicians, actors, moguls, criminals and many regular folks caught up in extraordinary situations. Sometimes, I write about the people I've met and places I've been. Sometimes, I write about life, my family, my dogs and me. Or what might otherwise be called Life.

  1. Someone left a suspicious football laying around and nobody informed the bomb squad? I’m shocked! Somebody needs to make sure that football has the correct inflation pressure before another quarterback gets suspended….

  2. The little boy is a ploy. The woman took the football and stuffed it into her shirt. She is pregnant with child #2. In the meantime, her little boy will live out her dream by practicing to become the next Bret Favre. You’re welcome. :D!!!!

        1. Leslie, your Jays put up a good fight. Now, all beisbol eyes are on the Cubs-Dodgers playoff games. If the Cubbies fail again, it will be time to turn out the lights in Chicago and run for the hills.
