  1. Ooooh I like these! Black and white is so beautiful, stark, real. It adds such an interesting dimenson. We only had black and white, then fell in love with colour, and now find black and white a delight. Enjoyed these.

  2. The Joni video was absolutely wonderful. I don’t know if the poop-ori ad was intended or not but it made my day. Haven’t had a laugh like that in while. Great post!

  3. You are right, Marilyn. Towns are great subjects for night photography. Your captures proved it. I love that you included a few street portraits. Very candid too.

    1. Thanks Paula. The street portrait — my best friend and her husband — reminded me of a film noir scene … or maybe Casablanca. it just had that feeling of olden days. I added a little grunge for mood, but it was one of the pictures that told a story from the get-go 🙂

  4. I love Joni. She attended the Alberta College of Art a few years before I went there. She was a genuine artist though. I never had the drive. One day I found her pic in an old college yearbook in the library. I was tempted to steal it. But you can’t steal what she had.
She’s was always an original – but nothing was given to her. She worked and struggled for many years before ‘making it’. Guts and hard work are usually the fibre of genius.
