WHICH WAY ALONG THE INTERSTATE – GARRY ARMSTRONG

Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – November 9, 2016

Traveling to New York and back, I stopped to take some pictures. Since the little rest area was next to the interstate, well, this just seemed the right place for them.

“Canine Rest Area” made me smile – I’ve never heard of such a thing!

Dral, it’s a familiar site in many of our national, state and local parks. Great for owners and furry kids.
We two legged creatures usually rush inside to answer the call.

I got to agree, the Canine-Rest-Area sign is so fun. Thanks Garry for participating.

Thanks, Cee. That was from late last week when we were still smiling.

      Thank you, Leslie.
I met a couple walking with their dog. I asked permission to take pics and we wound up in a wonderful chat about our dogs. The bond of our furry kids with strangers.

There’s quite a dog community here too. All the dog owners know each other and their respective dogs.

It’s like when your kids are little. You don’t have a name. You are just “Owen’s Mommy” to all the other mommies. You know the kids, furry and not so furry, but not each other’s names. I always found it pretty funny.

We are getting to know some of the names too.

I think we left that house before I actually learned anyone (except our neighbors’) real names. But we knew them in later places we lived, when we were less “kidcentric.”

It’s a good sign when you know your neighbours. We are lucky here and then our daughter and granddaughter are just down the street from us.

It’s easier here. It’s a small town. You almost can’t avoid knowing you neighbors, at least to nod hello and pass some pleasantries.

Did it have a Feline Rest Area for cats? Cats are always resting, you know… and they don’t like seeing dogs get special privileges.

Not fair! Take the dogs to court! It’s not about the money – it’s about RESPECT.
