The human had been tempted by promises from his master. His master, ever duplicitous and willing to employ the services of inferiors lured by promises of eternal reward, accepted the homage. He had made good use of his servant. Now, it was time to close the contract.

    • I have great taste in ESCAPIST literature. Because I have turned escaping reality into an art form 🙂 And yes, it is one of the best books I’ve read in the genre. I’ve read two different versions of it, one of which is a full radio drama from the BBC.
