THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: PICK A WORD IN JANUARY – Y2

From Paula: For the first Thursday’s Special in 2017 I decided to challenge you with 5 words. You are free to choose between five different words and depict them in a photograph. You may choose more than one word, and post more than one photograph. Or you may choose all the words and depict them in a single image. Possibilities abound.

Here are the words to choose from:

  1. Ahhhh … that looks like Spring. A nice thought. Because we’re getting a real Winter this year. Not one of those phony ones like last year. However there are actually places in this country who do start to get Spring right away – like Vancouver Island. About 2 or 3 months earlier than us. You don’t have to wonder why many people retire to ‘The Island’.

    • It’s snowing here. Pretty hard at the moment, but it isn’t supposed to amount to a great deal. So far, for us, this has been a relatively easy winter, but it’s early yet. This will be our first significant snow — but it’s still hardly a big deal. A few inches. It’s also one of those pretty ones with the big floaty flakes. Those rarely amount to much. Everyone in the region has been hit by heavy snow EXCEPT us and I don’t know why, but I’m grateful. With each passing year, I get more tired of winter, often before it even starts. Oh well. I’d retire somewhere if I could figure out where to go and how to get there.

  3. I can’t believe it! You did all 5 and so beautifully. Your post is fresh, bursting with colour and energy despite the season. Thank you very much, Marilyn. I hope your dog kids are OK. I read about the vet visit in your comments.

    • You are welcome. I am very pleased to participate. For some reason WordPress keeps dropping you out of my notification list, but if I check, it says you are there … yet when I look, you aren’t. I think maybe I’ve fixed it finally and I sure hope so! Thanks for the kind words. I was actually very surprised I found pictures to go with the words. I didn’t know I had them 🙂
