We’ve had a run of gray, wet days. For Garry and I, that means we take a lot of medication that’s supposed to tell our arthritic bodies to shut up and stop complaining. Mostly, it doesn’t work very well, so these are slow-moving days.
We are listening to an audiobook by day, and deeply absorbed in the heart of post-Victorian British crime stories as the evening draws on. The dogs? They beg for whatever they think they have a chance of scoring … which is anything and everything that might be construed as edible … and sleeping. They are very good at both.

That look awfully comfy where Bonnie is sitting.

Your camera may end up taking the squirrel’s place as favorite chew toy. Or Gibbs might take it out back to the island of lost stuff. “That’ll teach her to bother me with that thing!”

These photos are so cute. What a life, right? They look thin, Marilyn…. you feeding them? Hahahah!

I know. Scrawny. Cowed. Obviously neglected. What a life!

They are. The staff at Tufts offered to KEEP Bonnie at the hospital. Forever. Because she was such a big hit. I suspect that our visit would have been half the length if they hadn’t been playing with Bonnie back in the treatment area. She came out wagging all over … from the VET!

Hahaha how delightful. She must have a pretty special personality then if others can see it too

I have nearly always had dogs that insist on walking towards me if I try to photograph them although Cindy is better and will keep still if she doesn’t think I’m doing anything that might involve food or toys.

Mine are (finally) learning to not do that. They used to come up and stick their noses right ON the lens. Even for the macro lens, that was too close. Now, though, they sit there looking put upon, sad. Obviously over-worked and under-biscuited. Poor, poor dogs. Practically STARVING. You can see it, can’t you?

Yes, they usually do look pensive in photos. 🙂

Now that last look is a Morrie look if I ever saw one. He’s wondering where his cage is. It is all packed away in the car with his new rug!!! He’s sleeping on two mats on the floor. Lucky dogs at your house to score the sofa. No dogs with scratchy claws on my leather sofas. And, Morrie cannot be trusted inside. Sorry to say. Except in his own personal “inside,” the doggie domain.

We got very lucky with Gibbs. He housebroke himself. I always worry that he’ll decide to un-housebreak himself since the whole thing was his idea. I once had leather furniture. Then I had a cat and my very very expensive leather furniture became scraps and shreds. Now, I have neither leather nor cats. All our furniture was bought for its comfortableness. It’s nice if it also looks good, but at this point in my life, lumbar support and being able to keep my feet up beat out any fashion.
Bonnie owns the crate and Gibbs isn’t allowed in it. And neither dog is allowed into the bedroom area. they have the living room, stairway, kitchen, and the whole front yard. But we get the sleeping quarters. We made that decision when we moved in here. I’m too broken to twist into a pretzel so my dogs can stretch out 🙂 It’s not lack of love, it’s the pain.

Gibbs sneaks into Bonnie’s crate when her attention is diverted. He looks for a quick score and scampers out when he hears Bonnie approaching.

Very Sweet. My dog tries to hide when I get the camera out at times.

Bonnie used to hide. Now she sits there looking annoyed and hoping she at least gets a biscuit out of it.

Rain replaced by snow today. Lots of snow. Exit briefly Bonnie and Gibbs. Enter Ebony and Ivory.
