BLACK & WHITE SUNDAY: TRACES OF THE PAST Y3-02

The new but old Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. An “old” look at the new building. The original building which is part of the “new” one was built
The hospital is actually two hospitals that have become one — the Deaconess Hospital, built in 1896, and Beth-Israel, originally constructed in 1916. The original buildings are part of the newer buildings. This is true of most hospitals in Boston where the old buildings are a part of new ones.

I like the blend of the old and the new. The black and white is very effective from this perspective. Where were you standing, on a hill or in another building?

The huge hospitals on Longwood Avenue in Brookline are unique. A good place to get your diseases fixed.
