Marilyn was negotiating some hanging flowers and I wandered around with the camera. It turns out, a nursery is a good place for shooting. Lots of color, shapes, textures. Lots of stuff to do on a warm, sunny (at long last!) Saturday.

Wandering around a garden centre can be a very relaxing way to spend some time.

I think Garry just discovered that. He is not a gardener. He likes plants, as long as someone else takes care of them. But he like being around them and he’s perfectly willing to lend a hand if someone else (like me, for example) takes the lead. I don’t think he’s ever planted anything, but he waters and rakes.

They are great places for taking photos. I don’t often get to the nursery, but the gardening department of our supermarket is full of good subjects. I can take photos of the plants I cannot afford to buy.

Our grocery’s plants were pretty pathetic this year. They are usually better. But the nursery is great because it’s so BIG. Garry took a LOT of pictures, too. Like almost 300. Enough for all kinds of blogs! I was busier making sure there were no caterpillars on the plants. There were a dozen of them on it and I had to get it sprayed and get all the crawlers removed. We had a very LONG conversation about the horrors of caterpillars and how horrible they were and how very much we don’t want them back. It is the fervent wish of EVERYBODY.
