    • The maple has gotten really big. It totally took off this year and last year. I think it at least doubled in size. I don’t think they get much bigger than this, though I’m assuming the trunk will get heavier. We still have to tie it up to keep it from falling over!

No apples. Too early. September through November are apple time in the valley. Apples are all imported right now and they aren’t good yet. You probably get apples about a month earlier, right? That would be the latitude. Amazing what a few degrees does for growth of fruits and veggies.

  3. My problem as well. I don’t always give each photo an individual tag

    • Many of my pictures just have dates … or seasons. Or a single word like “dam” and maybe which town its in plus a date. But titling by item? I have a LOT of pictures … more than 100,000 of them. Unique names? Not really. Dates, yes. Titles, not so much.

  4. Hmm — I have a running conversation with a nerdy friend about how to sort photos — mine are sorted by alpha, then by date.

    • Mine are sorted by month and year, and then by subject within each month and year. It works reasonably well. Sure, there are words, but not necessarily the words i’m looking for … and Photoshop “Bridge” is useless for sorting anyway. I have to know what I’m looking for then try to remember WHEN I shot them. I find what I’m looking for most of the time, but some searches go on for days. I’m much better when it’s a subject, not a letter pattern.

  5. Hmmmm… this is as interesting concept. Maybe once I’ve run the alphabet in my photo series, I’ll start over with Aa, Ab, Ac, Ad, etc…. It will only get hard once I get to something like Qd.
