      Basically, I prefer color for landscapes, usually, but sometimes, especially in winter, black and white works better. Sometimes waterfalls, too. It depends on lighting and contrast.

        Winter is usually pretty much black and white anyway. That’s when I long for the colour green.

          I’m hoping this isn’t one of the really bad winters. We now have a jumping dog and when the snow piles up against the fence, even Bonnie can just walk over it.

    They both tickle my imagination with your lovely reflected sky. I agree with you, black and white landscapes in winter are great, when nature is already naturally black and white. Thank you for this lovely entry, Marilyn.

      I think the whiteness of the landscape makes everything stand out in contrast. Not that I’m yearning for winter, mind you, but it is a great photographic time!
