BLUE, BROWN, BLACK, BRICK – CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Colors that start with “B”

Please note: In their continuing attempts to make it impossible for us to do simple things SIMPLY, WordPress has now made it impossible to put two pictures in a row without a large gap. So if you are trying to space your post as you always have, best of luck. Hasn’t worked out well for me.

  1. Excellent photos for B, Marilyn.
I don’t know what WP is up to but they’ve asked for more space on my computer. I have refused so far. Maybe they’ll make me disappear.

    • Are they requesting you to buy more space? I don’t see why you would need to since you don’t use a lot of pictures.

      • It wasn’t a request to buy more space, it was a request to use more space on my computer. I declined, because as you say, I don’t really use a lot of space.

        • That’s weird. I don’t even understand the request. Are they expanding the program? And why would they need your permission? Companies change the specs of their applications all the time, so I don’t get it at all. That’s rather odd.

          • I thought it was odd too. At some point they sent a statement trying to explain it and there was a place where you could send a message. My message was – Is the absolutely necessary?

    • Thank you. I picked colors I knew I had. Blue is easy. Water, sky, there’s a LOT of blue in a lot of pictures. Brick? I have dozens of pictures of my fireplace … not to mention old brick buildings. Black? If nothing else works, I have two black dogs! And then, there’s dirt. It’s brown. Usually. So I went with really easy this time 🙂

  4. This is why I only post one image on my posts and it’s always right on top before any text. But that works for me because I’m not a photographer, as you are, so I can see where this change would be annoying for you. (See how empathetic I can be?)

    • I appreciate you empathy 🙂

They have a lot of spacing issues in posts. I used to be an editor — and book designer. So the klutziness of their editor never stops pissing me off, but it is what it is. However — EACH time they “fix” their software, they do something stupid that makes doing simple things more complicated. I don’t understand it. If it works and everyone is happy, leave it ALONE.

They can’t. They have this compulsion to keep fixing things until they ARE broken.

  5. A wonderful set of B-colored photos! And the spacing looks good to me, too!

    • Thank you 😀

You would not believe how difficult it was to find a way to make the spacing look normal. They’ve been messing with the software again. You’ll see. It always catches up with you … eventually.

      • I haven’t had problems except when I try to cross-post between WP and Xanga — it seems to want to post multiple copies of the original! I just put up a post this evening, without spacing issues.

        • Wait for it. It will come.

Oh, and they dropped the “editor” squiggle at the bottom of the post and have replaced it with the ubiquitous pencil figurine and some kind of dumb drop down menu. Yet one more unnecessary repair.
