BLACK & WHITE SUNDAY: TEXTURE – AN ANCIENT IRONWOOD TREE

BLACK & WHITE SUNDAY: TEXTURE

One really old ironwood tree in Phoenix. Being well cared for by its owner, it was the largest ironwood I’ve ever seen. For your information, ironwood is so heavy, it doesn’t float.

Three pictures, one ancient ironwood tree. I think ironwood trees are nothing but texture.

  1. Fascinating shapes, Marilyn. You took some very interesting captures of it. I love all the edits, the sepia one a bit more than the other too. Thank you kindly.

    • I was trying to knock out the background, but it was impossible. I blurred it a bit, but it was in the middle of a Phoenix suburb, so I was limited by reality. I hate reality. It’s ruining my world.

    • It really was. It was HUGE. In the desert, pieces fall off, so they don’t get that big but whoever owned the property was taking really good care of it. It was amazing and who knows how old.
