Research suggests that we’re not very good at evaluating ourselves accurately. In fact, we tend to overestimate our own abilities. Psychologists call this phenomena – the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Sadly, I’ve run into this as well…uuum it’s my body I know what it does on a day to day basis… I know what it can handle and yet…you think you know better! hmmm. Nope! There are many clueless ppl in the world that think they know all.

I’m also thinking if so many people think they are efficient and capable when they’re not, then this explains all the bonkers interchanges one has with people who think they are providing services – when they’re not 🙂

It probably does. They seem so SURE they know what they are talking about … and they obviously are completely CLUELESS. Maybe all those absurd tech support calls really CAN be ascribed to incompetence and stupidity. I’m not sure if that makes me feel better.
