How competent are we? Are they? Are any of us? Do we want to know?


Research suggests that we’re not very good at evaluating ourselves accurately. In fact, we tend to overestimate our own abilities. Psychologists call this phenomena – the Dunning-Kruger effect.

  2. Sometimes I think that the less I say to or about incompetency, the better off I am…. No need to antagonize the hopeless… sometimes they do take umbrage.. and reply “Oh, you think you are so smart.””””


  3. Sadly, I’ve run into this as well…uuum it’s my body I know what it does on a day to day basis… I know what it can handle and yet…you think you know better! hmmm. Nope! There are many clueless ppl in the world that think they know all.
