DREAMING OF SPRING

This is the worst part of winter for me because by now, I’ve had more than enough winter. Even thinking about snow makes my back hurt and my sinuses back up. Spring tends to be very brief and rather late in this latitude. Beautiful for all of five minutes.

Pink apple blossoms

New leaves

I thought I’d give you some springtime visuals. Something for all we northerners to dream about.

  3. Thanks. It’s snowing today up here in the frozen tundra of Utah. Not unexpected for February. This year however we’ve had the mildest winter anyone can remember (even oldsters of a few years shy of a century). So the hope for Spring has sprung. A tease as it turned out. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your brief Spring…the visual carries us through the reality. 🙂

    • So it got cold last night and we got about 6 inches of snow. Today, it warmed up and it’s in the high 40s, so everything is melting. LATER this week, we’ll get 60, maybe even 70 degrees … and everyone will run around in tee shirts and sneakers … and it will snow. Once, maybe twice. THEN it will be spring. Maybe.

  4. Thank you, thank you, the sun is shining and it’s above freezing today. There’s that spring feeling in the air.

    • One day, the snow melts. The next morning, everything has buds. We go to the grocery and when we come home, it’s summer. From bud to full bloom takes about an hour. In May. April, it just ponders the proposition of spring.
