A Photo a Week Challenge: Girl Power
From Nancy Merrill: While it might seem a bit cliché, literally none of us would be here without women. All of our lives have been touched by women: mothers, grandmothers, aunts, cousins, sisters. I was fortunately enough to take family photos for this wonderful group of women (and the men in their lives). What a great legacy.
I wasn’t sure what to post for this. Women have always been my strength, my closest friends, the people who understood me when no one else had a clue. So I finally decided to make a gallery of the great women I have loved. I don’t have enough pictures, though.

I wish I had a picture of my grandmother to put in. I am missing an awful lot of pictures.

I think it’s awesome and pretty delightful…having a legacy of woman who you were close to, who understood you, stood by you, supported you in a variety of ways. I imagine it made for an interesting productive and wonderful life.

I wish I had more pictures. There are a lot of women who are in my albums, but I have no digital images of them. Also, many albums were lost in floods and moving from house to house. But I remember them!

That is so very special. As |I see it, even though you aren’t able to share them, they live in your memory and heart which is far more special. |You are indeed lucky in that.

I had to do a full search of EVERYTHING. But it was International Women’s Day, so it seems a good cause. These were all strong women who have never let the bastards take them down.

Well done, I don’t think I could bring so many good photos of women together.

I had to do a pretty broad search. This is more than 60 years of pictures!
