Oddballs. I have so many pictures. Well and truly have I lost track of what’s odd. Life is odd. I think my pictures are probably a lot less odd than the rest of life!
I don’t know why I have taken down the little Christmas tree. Maybe it goes so well with the two Celebriducks?
Note the three squeaky dog toys hanging from the handle of the microwave. I know I should just give them to the dogs, but I am waiting until the snow and ice melt — give them to them on a nice day when there s a 50-50 chance the toys won’t be instantly buried in mud in under five minutes?

He is a bronze statue we bought at a gallery … maybe 30 years ago? I loved the work he did, most of which were even more intricate and so far outside our price range (and that was when we both has well-paying jobs), but bronzes are REALLY REALLY REALLY expensive … But this one had a story. The cowboy is waiting at the bar, but you don’t see anyone because YOU are the one he is waiting for.
This sculptor painted his bronzes (not something you see often these days). He did incredible scenes that looked like old 1930 movies … almost like dioramas. I wish we could have afforded one of them. They were just so amazing. But I love our cowboy too, because he is still waiting for us, at the bar. Oh, those are Garry’s gloves on the bar. The sculptor told us so.
And I don’t remember his name. Isn’t that awful?

Thanks Cee. If anything sums up “eclectic,” I think that one does 🙂

Oddballs make the world go round. When you live in a place that isn’t big on scenery, they can often be the only reason to even take pictures in the first place…

When you live in a world of ice, snow, and mud … inside gets really important. It’s totally white out there. Again.
