BICYCLES IN BLACK & WHITE – GARRY ARMSTRONG

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge:  Bikes of Any Kind

The Bike Show

It turned out that every picture we have that shows bicycles is a Garry Armstrong special. I know there are a few more, but Marilyn could only find one. The rest of the bicycle photographs seem to have vanished into the huge collection of photographs.

  1. Garry, you have some terrific bike photos for this week. You did get a perfect shot through the wheel spokes. 😀

    • Thanks, Cee. I saw the shot from a distance and hoped no one moved as I approached. No one moved.

  2. I remember you spent a very long time trying to get the perfect shot through those bicycle wheels. It was your project of the month. They came out well, and I think better in black & white.

    • I agree about the B&W. It’s the Italian “Open City” film look of the 50’s. “The Bicycle Thief”. DeSica, Antonionni, etc.

    • Leslie, I had to hunker down for the “Through the spokes” shots. No one noticed me. Getting up …that was another story.
