Owen was lucky to be where he was. That was the best rainbow I’ve seen in this area. They aren’t common in New England. I remember there were rainbows everywhere in Ireland, though. Almost every morning, there was one somewhere.

Owen said it was a really brilliant double and that the second one above the first was almost as bright as the original. Yay that he had a camera!

I am envious of Owen’s rainbow picture! I have a piece of a rainbow in my photo archive, but not a full arc, and certainly not one that bright!

He was lucky. First, because he had a camera with him — he usually doesn’t — and that the sky was so dark, the rainbow really stood out. This area is not one where we see a lot of rainbows, either. I didn’t see it and I live just a few miles away.
