Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Flags or Banners
Actually, June 14th is Flag Day this year. Most people forget about the day. It was a big deal when I was in school and we remember it because it was Garry’s mom’s birthday. Otherwise, it has mostly been forgotten. Another lost holiday.
Nice to have it back, even as one-time “thing.”

Thanks for the reminder. My flag will be flying.

I have to reinstall my flagpole. It came down when we installed the new door.

I also really like the motion of flags in the wind.

You have the three colours and they are so nice -red, white and blue. We just have the red and white maple leaf.

Maybe you can organize a big blue stripe under the leaf.

They’re not going to listen to me. We had a hard time getting this flag, before we had the British Union Jack.

I think British comedian Eddie Izard summed up my view of flags pretty well. https://youtu.be/hYeFcSq7Mxg (the LEGO figures version of this is just more succinct).

Nonflammable day in Switzerland. Yesterday I was out and saw two flags in a garden. One Swiss and one American, small sizes. Must be an American living there. Foreign flags in private places are not usually allowed here

Flags are becoming a matter of some discussion these days. I’ve taken mine down. I have a new one — a world flag rather than American. I never thought about it at all.
