LOCAL ARTS FESTIVAL – BY ELLIN CURLEY

Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge

Tom and I went to a local arts festival in someone’s home today. We liked some of the outdoor sculptures and some pieces and display in the house. I thought these might fit in with this challenge.

Here are some photos I thought you would enjoy.

Very cool, artsy chair!
Interesting artistic bookcase display

  1. I really love the chair. I used to know a women — down on the Vineyard — who made chairs like that, though she did more with paint and less with upholstery. We used to visit art galleries a lot, but I’m now afraid we might try to buy something!

    1. The chair was my favorite too. There was a matching one with a slightly different pattern and a red back instead of blue. Those are the kind of statement pieces that I love. They’re art but you can use them as furniture as well.

    1. It’s way better than the average stuff you see at local art fairs. There was more than one thing that, had I any money, I might think about. I used to love buying art. It was truly one of our guilty pleasures.

      1. I almost bought a pair of earrings on sale there but I stopped myself. The last thing I need is another pair of earrings, however artistic and beautiful!

    1. The art was very well displayed at this house. The house was small but the art was highlighted and set off so you could appreciate each piece. Very well done display.

    1. Thank you! I try to use my camera judiciously and find things that other people will find interesteing, not just me. glad I succeeded!
