HOW DOES THE OCEAN CLEANUP TECHNOLOGY WORK?

This is one of the things they are doing to try to clean up the mess.

Plastic was long considered to be a revolutionary material. But, what has it turned into now? A trash – and millions of tons of it end up in the ocean every year. Of course there are plenty of attempts to thwart this growing problem, but this approach by the Ocean Cleanup seems to be the most effective. Here’s how it works.

THIS IS COOL. I WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING ELSE, TOO!

  1. I’m impressed. That ocean clean up process actually gives one hope that some of our sins can be forgiven.., albeit in small, but steady, amounts

    • I can see this might work — but what do they do with all the garbage next? Where does it go? That’s why I think the REAL question is “how can we make less trash?” They’ve got a better grip on this in Europe than we do in the U.S. We need a universal solution and some serious thought given not so much to the cleanup — we have to do that too, mind you — but to NOT filthying the planet in the first place.
