NOT VERY SENSUAL – Marilyn Armstrong

Boyoboy, I can’t think of any time in my life I have felt LESS sensual. Life just isn’t like that these days. It seems to be more about regularity, eating right, hoping nothing breaks, and wondering if the retirement money will last as long as your life and what happens if it doesn’t?

I think that’s where dogs become more important. They are furry, fluffy, cozy, and snuggly. They are more than a best pal. They are the other “person” who remembers to kiss and hug you. Dogs love you and you can safely love them back. All they want is a biscuit and some playtime or a walk.

The longer I live, the rarer such behavior becomes. Someone who loves without wanting something back. Amazing, eh?

  1. My cat has been my constant companion during a loooong bout of unemployment. He asks for little more than food, love, attention, and in return his purring keeps me sane. Animals are wonderful.

  2. No, normal; they always were best friends of humans. Some of my darkest periods in my life were made bearable because of the love of my dog…. They deserve every bit of love, food, biscuits and attention they get. 🙂

  3. So true, and always loved, and have been returned the love from my dogs, kisses and just happy to see me, no matter when I arrived, and how I looked, or my mood. Not so true of people, such as my husband, my family and friends, also my co-workers, and even those you meet at the cash register. Dogs are just “good people” mine is next to me right now, resting in his bed. So sweet.
