SUNSET – dAY SIX
There was an amazing sunset one night over the river in Connecticut. It was deep pink on one end and bronze on the opposite side – a 360-degree sunset.

That the sunset was amazing was great. That Garry and I had functioning cameras was unique!

I love it when the sunset fills the whole sky. This is even better where water is involved.

Hard to argue the point. I don’t think I’ve seen a sunset that went all the way around before.

Actually, many, many moons ago Hero Husband got offered a job in Connecticut and I went along ‘house hunting’. I was totally in love with this county and the close sea to me was the ultimate miracle and A dream come possibly true.
Well, it wasn’t for him/us and now reading about the ‘downsides’ which of course then I didn’t/couldn’t imagine – plus the immense distance to our families – make me thankful for that ‘missed opportunity’.
But just look at this sunset; makes me wanna cry with ‘lust’ and nostalgie for quiet sundowns and serendipity at the shore….

All of New England is special, but not everyone is ‘cut out’ for Connecticut. It is the fanciest of the states, though it is unquestionably beautiful. I have to admit to being glad I live here. in a world gone mad, this area has stayed pretty much sane.

Oh my! This is almost unreal. How extraordinary. How beautiful. So glad you saw it and we’re able to capture it.

We were leaving the boat to go to dinner and suddenly, the sky just lit up. Garry got a bunch of gorgeous shots too. It was really special and it was good luck we had cameras — and working batteries!

And this one went ALL the way around the horizon and it changed colors, depending on where you looked.
