When I decorate with glass, I like to create vignettes with several pieces together, forming a decorative unit. I find this process to be one of the most gratifying in the decorating process. And when I find a good combination of pieces, I get pleasure looking at it again an again.

I spent half of the day trying to clean just my pottery. Then there are all the dolls. Not today. How do you keep it all so clean? Everything in this house is covered in dust about 2 seconds after I clean it.

There is lots of dust on everything but you don’t really see it on these types of glass objects. I have to touch them to see if they are dusty.WHen they are, I randomly dust one here and one there. So everyone eventually gets attention!

Thanks, Leslie! I took lots of time and lots of trial and error before I finalized these vignettes. I am really proud of some of them, as an artist as well as a decorator. The pieces are such fun to work with! In my kitchen, my glass cabinets hold cups and plates of different shapes and designs. So even my everyday china cabinets have ‘vignettes’ mixing colors and patterns. After doing the dishes, I try to put everything back the same way to maintain the design elements. It gives me such pleasure to look around my house and see these beautiful images. They make me smile every day.
