A Photo a Week Challenge: Water

Living surrounded by water, to no one’s surprise, most of my pictures involve water. Water in lakes and ponds, water flowing over fall and dams. I don’t entirely know where to start.

Dams? Streams? Ponds? Ocean?

I suppose, this being the Blackstone River Valley, it would have to be the river, its dams, canal, tributaries, ponds.

I think I’ll stop now. Because there really are so many … not to mention volumes from Tom and Ellin’s boat and marina. And of course, the beaches and docks …

    1. That is Garry’s magic photo. He had been very recently bitten (ugly bite) by a brown recluse spider and he was supposed to stay OUT of areas with biting bugs. But of course, he didn’t. And this was one of two best of the day.

    1. I laughed a little when I saw it. We had a friend from Arizona here for a week and he said he was tired of water … was there anything else to photograph? Garry and I looked at each other.

“Not really,” we said, more or less in one breath. The Blackstone Valley is all about water. Lots and lots of water.

        1. It just depends on the light. It has to come from above you, but not too low. From like 10 o’clock to 2 o’clock, that’s the where you need the sun and a few clouds don’t hurt, either.
