Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Things People Play With

By the time you hit your retirement years, “play with” can take on an alarming tone. The problem is that our taste in fun has not changed, but we have. So even though we used to love formula racing, our aging bodies might not be up to the split-second timing required to handle them.

Some of us collect miniatures or just plain collect. Others of us see for a less perilous path to entertainment, foregoing mountain climbing, NASCAR racing, and deep-sea diving.

Then there are the rest of us who never did that in the first place. We have to give up other things, like powerful hallucinogenic drugs which don’t work well with pacemakers.

Fortunately, there’s a whole world of other stuff to try.

Garry plays with cameras, too
I play with Robbie.
I play with dolls
And we both play with dogs!

    1. Thanks, Cee. And I’m definitely rethinking my concept of the tripod. I’d been looking for the easiest to carry, but I think maybe I should be looking for one that will make me feel secure about the equipment!

  1. We all have our particular (and sometimes peculiar) definition of “play” and “fun”…yours are lovely. Hubby shared some experiences he had ‘in the day’ with LSD and mushrooms – Me? I never had the desire…too much loss of control for me to enjoy it, although I did ask him once if he could get some LSD so I could just try it. He stoutly refused and said he didn’t want to pick up the pieces after I had a ‘bad trip’ in all probability. In retrospect? Wise choice.

      1. I hear ya’, but I’m one of the ones they freak out, especially the old ones. My wife, being the smartass she is, snaps a pic of any really creepy ones she may spot and then texts me the photos. She’s lovely. 😃😃
