FOWC with Fandango — Former
In a former life, I wrote professionally.
In a former life, I lived in another country.
In a former life, I was a child, a mother, a single woman, a foreigner, a friend, a lover.
I have had four different last names, but only one of them matters.
Formerly, I was young and now, I am not. Roll on life.
In all my former lives I was part of the self I am now. In the future, all my formers will find a place on the shelf in whatever life I live.

The older we get, the more former selfs we accumulate along the way.

Until eventually, we need a whole cabinet to put all those pieces in. Sometimes, I have a lot trouble relating to who I was 50 years ago.

This reminded me of Martin Short in Three Amigos: You’re not just famous. You’re Infamous!

Not quite infamous yet. But I’m working on it.

It isn’t just you. We are nationally melancholy.

Unfortunately, we don’t have access to “formally”, only NOW. But I don’t know a soul who doesn’t think about formally.., and I am no less guilty.

I don’t think I was being very serious. I had an image of all my former selves lined up on a shelf, maybe with labels.
