Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Lights
Light. Sunlight shining through the leaves on the tree. The shafts of sunlight late in the day. Lights on trees for the holiday. The glow of lights in houses and candles glowing in a darkened room. Candles on the cake, lanterns in the dark. The glow of the moon.
We are drawn to light and how it changes the shape and tone of everything.

That’s the one I have in a bag in the guest room. In a couple of weeks, I’ll bring it back, plug it in, and voila! Christmas!

All great examples Marilyn, 🙂
I particularly like the pristine snow in shadow and light!

Ah yes, the day after the blizzard is always clear as a bell. I suppose the snow takes all the dust out of the air.

I’m going to patent an ‘In-house’ blizzard to save on dusting! 😉

These are beautiful shots of the effects of light — and light is SO changeable!

For me, most pictures are about light and how it reflects and changes the way everything looks. We are recovering from last night’s heavy rains. Tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy, but dry … but more wind and driving rain by the weekend. Maybe a bit of snow, too.

I agree! Sorry about your heavy rains — I hope you didn’t flood! It looks as if we may get some rain next week — we’ll see!

Pity we can’t share the weather. You need rain, we really DON’T need more rain. All through your long drought when so many other places were flooding, I kept thinking how unfair it was. I guess fair doesn’t have much to do with it.
It’s supposed to be below 20 degrees tomorrow morning and now they are talking about snow. How depressing is THAT.

There’s something about “below” that would be depressing to me as well! We could use the snow, though, as it would be slow-release into the ground and most helpful of all! They are now predicting “heavy rain” for next week — not what we need at all!

I love shooting at night. The only time there’s anything to shoot at night around these parts IS during Christmas when they string lights around the Commons. When it’s possible, shooting at night in Boston is GREAT.

Thank you. I just typed “light” into my media collection, so if I put light in the title or as a keyword, up it comes. Which is good because I can’t find most of my pictures.
