More of the Last Cactus Flower – FOTD – 1/9/2019
Usually, I show all my pictures at once. This time, I realized I could save some and show them over a few days. Unique concept, I know. I also can’t wait until a birthday or Christmas and always give presents ahead of time.
No patience.

Can never have too many flowers 😀 😀

After I run out of cactus shots (I have a few remaining), it’ll be a few weeks until I see buds on the orchids. But they are beginning. Not a very floral time of year, mid-winter in New England!

I had one sunny hour, so I got some decent shots. Usually, it’s not bright enough to get the petals clearly. But for once, the sun was with me 🙂

It’s been blooming for so long now, what a bonus.

It’s finished today, though. The first one bloomed for a long time, but the second just a week. It’s sleepy time for the cactus now.

They are really pretty. I’m hoping they do another blooming in the spring. They sometimes bloom again in April or even June. Basically, they bloom whenever they feel like it 😀

It’s beautiful — almost like a fuchsia!

I never thought about it, but yes, they are similar in general shape. Since I can’t find any fuchsia to buy, I shall have to make do with these.

That sounds like “like for like,” rather than a step down! The cactus is gorgeous!
