I think black and white works best when the lines in the pictures are simple. I’ve never really liked flowers in black and white or for that matter, woods, though I’ve seen some master photographers do amazing work in black and white just about everywhere. For me, though, keeping it simple helps a lot. Lots of lines, edges, and textures.
He was down in Connecticut, by the river where Tom and Ellin keep their boat. He stood there long enough for me to get quite a few really good pictures, too.
My favorite photo this week is the cactus. 😀 😀

That as always been a favorite of mine, too. One cactus, on the hill, with the sun setting behind it 🙂 Arizona. The cactus capital of the US.

Thank you. I always look for pictures that will be best in black and white. Street scenes are my favorite, but lacking a street, a cactus will do 🙂
