PINK CHRISTMAS CACTUS BLOOMING – Marilyn Armstrong

Pink Christmas Cactus – FOTD – 04/06/2019

The pink cactus is blooming up a storm. I think I got the color a little better today, maybe because the light was better yesterday when I took the pictures.

It was a bright but not sunny morning, which is good for portraits and pictures of plants, but not much fun when shooting outside.

The latest flower

The full plant!

  1. I really like your ‘domestic’ shots…. so soothing. Isn’t it astonishing how something so ‘small’ (regarding its size and importance) can give out so much joy!

    • They are hard to shoot. The flowers are always behind a branch and you only get two days to take the picture before they wilt. I am, however, getting a LOT of practice. They come out better in bright light with NO sun. Flat light. I keep my cameras on the table in the dining room so if I get inspired, I can shoot. But that Cardinal ALWAYS gets away.
