PINK CHRISTMAS CACTUS BLOOMING – Marilyn Armstrong

Pink Christmas Cactus – FOTD – 04/06/2019

The pink cactus is blooming up a storm. I think I got the color a little better today, maybe because the light was better yesterday when I took the pictures.

It was a bright but not sunny morning, which is good for portraits and pictures of plants, but not much fun when shooting outside.

    1. They are hard to shoot. The flowers are always behind a branch and you only get two days to take the picture before they wilt. I am, however, getting a LOT of practice. They come out better in bright light with NO sun. Flat light. I keep my cameras on the table in the dining room so if I get inspired, I can shoot. But that Cardinal ALWAYS gets away.

  1. I really like your ‘domestic’ shots…. so soothing. Isn’t it astonishing how something so ‘small’ (regarding its size and importance) can give out so much joy!
