I do love their bird song. One time our younger son was able to mimic their call and they started to fly in to see who was doing it.

They are big birds, so relatively easy to shoot. And they hang around a lot. They nest in the flat feeder and just sit there for hours.

Doves make wonderful sounds. I wish I could capture such good photos of them as you have. I can hear them but never see them

These two live very near the house. Even before feeders, they used to come by, sit on the rail and hang out. I suppose that’s one of the positives of living IN the woods, not merely near one!

They are very cute sitting together in it. Just hanging out, eating seeds, probably telling tales of dovey adventures.
