Daffodils – FOTD β 04/17/2019
The daffodils began to bloom today. I’m sure they all be wide open tomorrow! Spring sunshine in the garden. I’m really celebrating because it didn’t rain today and it isn’t supposed to rain tomorrow, either.
Yay spring!
They bloomed for you. How wonderful π

I had almost given up. I guess all we needed was for it to stop raining π

One sunny day and the world lit up. It was great. Unfortunately the rain begins again tomorrow. But hey, two sunny ones. Not bad!

One of my favorites. Our California poppies are all in bloom in the front garden along with the sage and other California native plants. We have no lawn, just plants and a Jacaranda tree. In the back yard are two patio areas, a hot tub, a fountain, a lemon tree, a peach tree, and various other trees and plants. I have a large expense looming. Our side back fence fell down during a heavy wind and rain storm. It’s strung together haphazardly, but ready to go down again. So, no choice but to replace it As you know, with a house and the outdoor property, there is always something that needs repairing.

It really IS endless. We got rid of our hot tub. The electric bill to run it killed us and a lot of our fence needs mending, too, but other stuff is more urgent. Sigh. It really IS always something!

It always seems like such a long wait until the daffodils finally get here, but when they do, it’s officially spring! My very favorite flower. Loved your photos.

They aren’t a giant mass, but it does mean — finally — SPRING.

If I had more energy, I’d get out and get pictures. We don’t have much blooming yet — our garden doesn’t come up until May and it’s an awful mess this year — but elsewhere, there are trees and bushes in mad bloom. The SUN is out!

Such a beautiful golden colour! π
The Sun’s out – Yayy!
(We had equally good ‘news’… It Rained! Quite a bit, comparatively. π )
I have a single self-seeded marigold out at the moment…. same colour as your daffs!

Glad to hear you got rain. I’d send you some of ours if I could. Meanwhile, I bet everything will bloom with the rain π

I’m hopeful, but seems like we have some cooler weather coming and the flowers might need a little coaxing after all the warmth they’ve been used to. π

Good to hear from you. Yes, they are. But half the garden looks dead. I’m going to have to get in there with clippers and take out the dead stuff. The weather weirdness is getting to the plants.

Is there a song for daffodils? Couldnβt think of one in this moment.
