Wildflowers along the river as August ends
If we hadn’t been afraid of getting bitten by mosquitoes carrying lethal enchephalitis, it would have been a perfect day to take pictures of the flowers on the river. Everything was in full bloom. Pink, white, red, golden … I don’t know the names of anything, but I love the way the wildflowers line the river banks as if some talented gardener arranged it all.

at least you can admire them from afar.

I was not even comfortable being that near the river. Not now, anyway. I don’t even know if they sprayed last night. I didn’t hear any planes and no one is sending me emails to tell me what’s happening.

Those are scary bugs, but beautiful flowers! They sometimes spray from trucks here.

Leslie, I was a bit nervous about heading out on that photo shoot because of the bug scare.

I think if you have long sleeves on and tuck your pants into your socks you’ll probably be okay. A little Deet wouldn’t hurt either….
