A THIRD OF THE WAY THIS OCTOBER – Marilyn Armstrong

IT’S ALL HAPPENING ON THE FEEDER

Six little American Goldinch eating on a wire feeder

I have to tell you, it wasn’t easy finding six of anything on the feeder. A lot of flocks of five, but this was the only one with six. You have to count the tail of one because you can only see five!

    • We’re going to try and get outside a bit today. It ISN’T raining and the color is up. This may be our last autumn day for shooting.

This morning we had a bunch of Blue Jays at the feeder. That’s a first. But where are the doves? Maybe it’s because I took down the flat feeder (they are a bit big for the wire feeders).
