FOWC with Fandango — Comeuppance
When I think of the word, I think of Trump. I think of Lindsay Graham. I think of politicians. Then I get depressed and try to think of anything else. Something humorous although some days, humor is hard to find.
I read an article this morning that said that unless more people vote (like in 2018) we’ll get you-know-who back. That totally ruined my day which had barely started.

I couldn’t bear the thought of another round of ‘him’…. and wouldn’t you think that the past years were enough of a wake-up call for people to go voting in earnest? The cartoon is excellent and the news would have spoilt my day too – but I had a great Sunday!

It makes me mad when people say that. “It won’t matter it’s just one vote.” , “They are all as bad as each other”, “I’m not interested in politics.” People need to take responsibility not just complain about the outcome. Our governments don’t set a good example though. Instead of putting a huge effort into slowing the rate of climate change they point to other countries and say “What about them? We’re doing more than they are.” Maybe so but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t do more. If everyone is going to wait for someone else to do something we had better all buy lifejackets.

Aren’t you glad you’re not 17 and looking at the world and wondering how you are going to cope with this hideous mess? I know that’s how I feel.

I agree. People need to get up off their lazy asses and vote. I vote by mail. I don’t even have to leave my house. Can’t get much easier than that!

And for us, we could vote by mail, but our mail is very slow whereas the 1/2 mile drive to the old high school is not much of stretch.
