Not only do I not feel well, but it has been pouring all week. Well, technically, it’s only “raining lightly” right now, but when I look out the window, it doesn’t look like “light” anything. It’s not only raining heavily, but it has been so dark it looks like the hour after sunset from morning until night.
I realized it’s after four so it really is getting dark, but it wasn’t much lighter two hours ago. And I just realized Thanksgiving is next week and no one has any plans … and with Christmas right behind it …
I’m not lacking in holiday sentiment. Just physically not feeling good and I don’t have money to spend, which always takes the “buzz” off the holidays. It’s going to be joyful, but mostly gift-free this year. I’m pretty sure that ALL of us are out of money and anyone who doesn’t have this virus, seems to have bronchitis.
It was so dark in my dining room, I really couldn’t take pictures. Too dark, even with a 1.8 mm lens. Supposedly it’s going to brighten up tomorrow, but it wasn’t supposed to rain today, either. Forecasts are becoming more like educated guesses.
Snow for the holidays is romantic. Pouring rain doesn’t capture the right spirit. Maybe the sun will shine next week!

It’s easy to feel down with the crappy weather and everyone sick! Wishing you a week of sunshine!

Doesn’t help make you feel any the better. Sun usually lifts the spirits a bit but total darkness or near darkness for an entire day is not my idea of a good time. Hope your feeling much improved over this morning and much more improved tomorrow! xoxoxo

I’m better than yesterday, but not quite there yet. A few more days. If I am very very lucky, Garry won’t come down with it by then.

BBC TV are showing a new version of War Of The Worlds by H.G.Wells and it seems to fit your scenery

I don’t know if they filmed it here. They might have. There’s a lot of empty space and Massachusetts give lots of discounts for movie makers. When it shows up on Acorn I’ll watch. They shoot in New Zealand a lot, too.

It seems to be a British TV production made in England and thus time the Martians are moving in

Although you’re unwell and ill, you still have the willpower to energize yourself enough for a few pics! Brava…. Beautiful shots and we mustn’t forget it’s nearly the end of November. We don’t ‘do’ Thanksgiving, or rather, we are verbally and truly thankful every day of our life but don’t make it a big/huge event once an year. But today I’ve brought up (some) bags and sacks and boxes with Xmas decor and hung already up some light guirlandes and stuff. i NEED some more light (candles etc) to make these early nights and late mornings bearable.

I took a couple of pictures, but it was too dark, so I gave up. The clouds made it so dark, it was like night all day.

Not to be that irritating person, but if you could send all your rain to Australia that would be great. Heat, light and sun are becoming synonymous with disaster both in the immediate (Bushfire) and the long term (drought).
That said I’d start to worry about flooding if it rained too much. Here’s hoping you see some snow and we see some rain!
Take care

It always goes like that. The place that doesn’t need more rain, gets more rain and lots of it while the dry places stay dry. We aren’t as bad as places along the Mississippi and down in Texas and Florida. And of course, Puerto Rico. They got more rain than I thought could ever fall anywhere,
