It would be so cool to go up in a little plane like that π

I thought so too. Very cold, but fun. I do love flying and that an original WW2 fighter plane. I think it goes back to the early forties.

I wanted to fly. Garry wanted to fly. But he went up and we all waited, but an hour and a half later, still up there. We had a long and complicated drive home, so we gave up and left before it got dark. I love flying in small planes and i’ve never been up in an old one like that WW2 special!

My uncle flew a Spitfire in WW11. He built an airplane in his basement. Had to remove the foundation to get it out of his basement. Yes airplanes are in our blood.

They aren’t in my blood, but I was lucky enough to have friends with small airplanes, so I got in more flying time than most people. I also went gliding in England and I wish I’d been able to do more of it. It’s a bit pricey. I rode a helicopter once and that’s a whole story on its own.
I’ve never been up in an antique craft with an open top. That looked SO cool π

Not only cool. Probably pretty cold. I had never realized until I went flying with friends how COLD it gets 1000 feet up. I should have figured it out. It gets cold when you climb a mountain — or even a very big hill — so why not when you fly a small plane?

That was a wonderful day!
I wish I’d gone for a ride. I forget why I didn’t ask. My bad. Maybe I’ll have another opportunity.

You didn’t ask because they went up for a flight and didn’t come back. It was almost an hour and a half and they were still off in the clouds! We had a long drive home. I also didn’t think he’d be going back up having been up for that long. You didn’t forget. It became obviously impossible, at least on that day.
