Questions:

Do you snore? How do you know it, if you do?

I did but I no longer do. It turned out as soon as I lost 100 pounds and started using a movable bed, it disappeared.

I know this because Garry told me. Yes, I snored loud enough for HIM to hear me. That’s a statement! I’m not sure why anyone snores. Most people do, at least a little bit.

What do you find funny? (credit for question given to Rory and this post in particular):

What I find funny are — well — funny things. You know. Comedians. Wit. Humor. Parody. Satire.

I find THIS funny.

I don’t like anything where people are humiliated or hurt and I’m not fond of physical humor (Three Stooges are not my idea of funny).  A lot of things that other people find funny, I don’t find funny. I hate seeing anyone embarrassed or teased. I don’t find it funny.

What was the last furry thing you touched?

Note that one of his ears goes up and the other down. His muzzle is crooked too.

Hugging my hip is The Duke. I can’t NOT pet him. He’s glued to my right hip and if I let him, he’d be writing this post himself.

How do you handcuff a one-armed man?

Carefully?

Gratitude?

This morning before I’d even gotten out of bed, our washing machine died. By the time I got up (before 11), Owen had bought us a new (okay, second-hand) washing machine AND had it installed. What a guy! Seriously, REALLY what a guy!

  1. Well done to Owen for being resourceful enough to find a washing machine on a Sunday morning and get it home and set up before you even knew there was a problem. I’m guessing some online sales group unless you have a local second-hand appliance store that opens on weekends.
I never enjoy humour where people are hurt or humiliated and as a child did not enjoy the Three Stooges because they were always fighting and hitting each other. I didn’t, and still don’t like Bugs Bunny because he is mean.
Naomi does like the Three Stooges so I’ve seen a lot of their stuff with her and some of the slapstick is amusing but still not really my sort of thing.
In my family, we do sometimes laugh when things happen to each other, not because we don’t care but because it looks funny. Naomi often laughs when I fall off things as long as she knows I’m not really hurt. Once, when we were young, she slipped on a banana skin and I laughed because it was such a cliche.

  2. Up by 9:30, dressed by noon… Grateful for retirement and for Dan–the man who fixes everything! Oh, now we have two new (to us) kitties who love to be brushed and combed. Living the good life and grateful for it all. ❤ Have a great week, Marilyn!

  4. Thank you Marilyn for providing us some beauty and humor whilst Sharing Your World. Carefully? BWAHAHAHAHHA!! Me? I’d have said (were I answering my own questions) – leg cuffs… Um. Your cartoon had me chortling – so loud that Ziggy AND Pudge came to check that I was okay! I LOVE “Bizarro” comix. Isn’t Death smirking in that one? Have a great week and thank God for your son. He’s amazing!

    • Bizarro is my favorite cartoonist (along with Doonesbury). He has his own website, so I get a cartoon every other day … and he sells stuff. Tee shirts and mugs and things. Back when we got newspapers, he was the ONE comic I always checked on. These days, there just aren’t enough newspapers and he recently moved to Mexico to save a few dollars.
