ANOTHER ORCHID – Marilyn Armstrong

NOW THERE ARE TWO

First, there was one orchid flowering. There were several big buds waiting and a couple of days ago, the second flower started to open. I didn’t take any pictures until this morning. By the middle of the day, it was very bright, but the sun was not shining directly through the window. My macro lens was on the camera. I picked it up and here are the results.

There are more photographs for another day. The light was exactly right for this particular piece of photography.

    • They flower for a long time. It’s the best part of growing them. An orchid can easily last a month, sometimes longer. So you get flowers that last. I hope I have treated these better and they will come around again.

      • Yes, they do last a long time – so if you have an orchid plant, keep “feeding” it (an ice cube once every two days) and don’t get rid of it if the blooms fall off and you have just sticks! THE FLOWERS WILL RETURN

  4. You were doubly blessed. 🙂 I brought a plant with me that has been blooming unbelievably, and it produced double blooms twice. Nice.
