Last night, our trail camera took 781 pictures. That is a lot of pictures. It was windy, because about 500 pictures were nothing, just waving feeders. But after deleting the first few hundred, there were actual pictures on it. About half raccoons and half flying squirrels.
You can actually see some of their features. It’s a miracle!
This is the beginning of the eating frenzy that happens every night. By the time you get to the raccoons, a lot of seeds are gone.

Wow makes me think I need a trail camera to see who and what are traipsing about my little acre at night. Flying squirrels so petite. Your family of racoons is growing big and healthy Marilyn.

I used to have a raccoon coat once. Was it ever warm. You can see where I’m going with this.

I had one too. I inherited it from my mother. It was very warm.

I thought of you yesterday when I watched a video of a baby flying squirrel yawning. So cute! It was being held in someone’s hand, and when it opened it’s little mouth to yawn and there were two little teeth. Adorable.

They are incredibly cute. Apparently make pretty good pets, though I think something gliding in the air from room to room might be one step over the line for us.
