A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR THE GOLDFINCH – Marilyn Armstrong

This was the first sunny day in a couple of weeks. It rained yesterday and will probably rain tomorrow, but for at least portions of today, there was sunshine and puffy white clouds. I haven’t been taking many pictures. Maybe it was the damp cold and the endless rain and dark gray skies.

A pair of Goldfinches

Mates?

Chickadee

No inspiration. Also, today I looked out and the Goldfinches — or at least half of them — were a brilliant yellow gold. Like feathery bits of sunshine. They are ready to breed and are wearing their brightest outfits to impress their possible mates.

Two on the feeder, one on the fly

Goldfinch and other birds (probably more Goldfinches)

Titmouse and sparrow … ?
