A FEW MORE SQUIRRELS – Marilyn Armstrong

These are some of the ones I couldn’t fit into squares. It’s the shape of the feeders against the dark woods. Also, some of these are really much harder to process than they look. Really hard to get a smooth edge or a clear tone differentiation.

Still, there are a lot of squirrels here, so let’s all glide into the trees.

Two on separate feeders – and I barely got it squared. But I did get it done. Oh, can you see the one in the air in the back trying to glide in?

But this one is square!

This one is NOT square. Sorry! But can you see the big shiny eyes?

  1. Unbelievable, yet more squirrels…

  2. My neighbor has a bird feeder in their front yard and the pigeons love it!
I wish they would move it to the back yard or take it down. We don’t need any help attracting pigeons!

    • The only things of which we have too many are Goldfinches and Flying Squirrels. Although by the end of summer, the brown-headed cowbirds have taken sole possession of all feeders except when the big squirrels come and knock them off the gratings.

  3. One is square so I am happy πŸ™‚

    • You can see why it’s a hard shot to catch when there are birds or squirrels or whatever on each of the feeders. No matter how you cut it, it’s a long, flat shot. It’s fine if you feel like cutting one of the end-feeders off, but when there are critters on both ends and sometimes, the middle, it seems a shame to chop them up. There is plenty of room, though. This camera shoots everything at 72pixels and it starts out HUGE — something like 57 X 47 (pixels). To give viewers a chance to see something, I crop the original actual size without pushing the settings. I theorize this will keep the noise from making the visuals unviewable. It sort of works, sort of doesn’t.

      • Totally agree so glad you showed the full versions πŸ™‚ and even gladder you are able to keep feeding them so they keep coming and we get to see them through your lens πŸ˜€

        • So far, so good. Good feed is becoming hard to find. It’s the lack of deliveries. I ordered a lot last time and it should last at least a month and a half, though that depends on the enthusiasm of night creatures. Good quality dog food is getting hard to find, too. I don’t know where all these hoarders are keeping their goodies. There’s no more room in this house and it’s not a huge amount of food.

          • I suspect people are just ordering one or two more than usual, and that’s enough to clear the shelves. You are right though goodness knows where they are keeping it all
