They can be a big nuisance. I’ve come to terms with them, although every once in a while I chase them off the porch, especially when they’ve set up a siege on the feeders. Otherwise, they are entitled to eat just like the birds.
The thing is, I take these pictures in batches. I don’t take them every day because sometimes, I don’t feel like taking pictures. I’ve just put the feed back out. Raccoons destroyed one feeder, another was no longer hanging, but was just standing on the deck and the raccoons came and twisted off the top and emptied it out. Then it rained for four days, so now that the sun is out again, I figured give them some seed, but don’t hang anything because at least when they wreck them on the deck, they don’t fall a couple of stories to the ground below. Them raccoons are smart and STRONG.
This is a perfect subject for you, Marilyn, isn’t it? What a marvellous collection! Such funny little characters. 🙂

I’m sure with a little effort, they would move right in.

Very nice. You should have more than enough to do your own weekly squirrel picture feature like I do!

You do have the cutest little squirrels at your café. My all-time favorite, though, is the one laying down–stuffed! That one is a riot.

Yes. A toy the dogs decided to wreck on its first day.
