A PHOTO A WEEK CHALLENGE: A SEQUENCE OF ACTION

A Photo a Week Challenge: Action in Series

In summertime, when all the leaves and trees are green. Remember when summer was fun? And it was okay to just hang with friends and enjoy the pool? When will it happen again?

The man who wrote this song was a play announcer at Fenway Park. It was the only song he ever wrote and he was very proud of it.

  3. “In memory of a summer so recently vanished.” – Thursday, 85 F, Friday night 48 F…. Yep, it went away Thursday into Friday. Today is the first day I am not in shorts since early June.

    • It’s chilly out there. Trying to decide whether I need socks and shoes as opposed to sandals. When summer went away, it did it in a big hurry!

      • I put on full, real socks for the first time since May…. I still hold out a little hope of being able to keep my heat off until October, but…

    • Recently, so many were complaining about humidity and heat.

Today, we are in the 50’s. Long (sweat) pants, long sleeve sweater and hoodie. BRRR.

Next up (I hope) Indian summer.

    • When we lived in Boston, we were having one of the really long Autumns. In mid-November, it was in the mid-70s. We went — shorts and sneakers — to a favorite local bar for lunch and drinks. It was a delightful 73 degree when we went in. When we came out — two hours later — it was 40 degrees. We hadn’t driven there — we had walked, so we ran home. Weather in New England can change really fast, but that two-hour changeover was THE fastest I ever remember.

      • With this year of warm weather, we had one strange one – A few weeks ago the tempature was perfect for my run, but I began to sweat the minute I left. After my shower it felt cold. I looked it up, and the temperature literally went up 10 degrees just before the start of my run and back down 10 degrees 5 minutes after I completed it!
